Mary and Edith do Downton Abbey...Well Done Us!

The day couldn't have been better and Kay did a wonderful job of dodging more pheasants and traffic and we made it to Highclere Castle!  Nothing else to say but let our excitement show through the photos!  They will not let you take photos inside but we saw and walked through all of it and it was so worth the trip!  We walked down the staircase that Mary walked down before her wedding to Matthew.  Just an awesome feeling.

      I can't tell you how cool it was to be there and just even to glimpse it for the first time coming up the drive. Being inside and seeing the rooms that we watched for six years was amazing!

    This may seem like a silly comment - but that castle is HUGE! How many souvenirs did you buy missy?

      It is as big as it looks Carol! I told Kay I wouldn't want to be the one who had to check to make sure the doors were locked! I bought so much stuff it was hard to carry it to the car which was a long way from the castle! It was a great day though and I loved it!

    I am so glad you got to visit the very castle you love on the show. Hugs, bff guess you will have to go eat to give you back the excitement energy you used just walking through the castle.
